Excerpt from this day’s program:
…There was another attempt this afternoon at the ever-popular Gush Etzion intersection now crawling with soldiers. Two up them picked up the scent of an Arabian approaching with evil intent, who when spotted whipped out a knife and charged. So the Israelite warriors, as they used to say in the Old Wild West, plugged the varmint. Shot him dead. Other than that, the good news in the newspapers this morning was the removal of some temporary barricades in the Arabian section of Jerusalem because there has been only one Jew-killing attempt in two weeks. I have a hunch that this is the way it will always be: like a heart expanding and contracting, the horde of Ishmaelites in the city will periodically be calm, then periodically erupt in a pent-up need to spill Jewish blood and experience the exquisite, physical pleasure of plunging a knife into a Jew. Even if you don’t kill him or her, you experience the tactile thrill of sinking the blade into Jewish flesh, and if you’re lucky get to see the warm blood spurt out. |
